Although they are only two, the team intends on making a big change in the world. They have dedicated themselves to the Bidbud Vision so much so that it has become their driving force. At Bidbud, they hope to spread that vision to the rest of the world and grow the team with like-minded, ambitious people. Read Their story to learn how this vision was born.

"Individual commitment to a group effort… that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work." -Vince Lombardi

“… and thus, Bidbud was born…”

Starting at the beginning of this long endeavour, (now best friends) Elias Salmo and James Fakhoury had met during their freshman year of High School back in 2013. Fast forward to 2018, both Elias and James had been attending the University of Washington Tacoma. They would soon come up with a shared vision for the sustainability of the economic future. The two have stated that one of the biggest issues today is that despite the low unemployment rates in the United States, people still can’t seem to make ends meet… so much so that it has become one of the biggest political issues today. Automation has caused so many issues in the jobs market and if we don’t enter the near future with our utmost diligence, this will only continue to worsen. There is no possible way to stop the process of innovation and automation. These modern day issues can only be solved using forward thinking solutions… Unfortunately, most people are looking for the solution by going backwards in time i.e. limiting the amount of automation a company can have for their various processes. At Bidbud, we believe that the future will rely on creative freelance work. People will offer unique skill sets for their own niche trades which will be sought out by other individual freelancers or organizations (gig economy). After some discussion, James and Elias had come up with an idea that would promote the gig economy… and thus, Bidbud was born. Soon after, starting with zero programming knowledge, the two would spend their summer learning how to program mobile applications. This was all in preparation for their year long project to create the Bidbud platform while both attending the The University of Washington Tacoma as roommates.
