How people live, work and spend their money has changed dramatically over the past decade, especially with the advent of smartphone technology. Being hyper-connected via social networks has increased communication and has opened new ways to make and spend money.
Due to the emergence of modern technology the gig economy is expanding 3x faster than the U.S. workforce as a whole. It is predicted that by 2027, more than 50% of the U.S. workforce will become self-employed freelance workers participating in the gig economy.
Trade and commerce as we know it today will cease to exist in the next few decades.
